Texas A&M’s Bryce Miller earned SEC Pitcher of the Week recognition from the Southeastern Conference on Monday.
Miller was honored for Saturday’s epic performance in a 5-0 victory over New Mexico State. He recording a career-high 15 strikeouts in 7.0 innings. He didn’t issue a walk and scattered four hits in the effort. The 15 strikeouts was the most by an Aggie since 1998 when Casey Fossum recorded an identical tally against Baylor. Miller logged four frames with three strikeouts, including two 3-up-3-down frames.

Track and Field

The Aggies continue to break records this year when it comes to Track and Field. Texas A&M track & field’s Tyra Gittens claimed the NCAA pentathlon National championship with a collegiate-record score of 4,764 points, Thursday evening at the Randal Tyson Track Center.

Shaine Casas

Men’s Swimming

After a historical performance at NCAA Championships, junior Shaine Casas was named the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division-I Men’s Swimmer of the Year. Casas became Texas A&M’s first men’s national champion and finished the week with three individual top finishes as he helped the Texas A&M men’s swimming & diving team match its best team finish at NCAA Championships.

Texas A&M softball’s Bre Warren was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week.
The freshman was outstanding at the plate, hitting .714 (5-for-7) with a double, a home run, two RBI and two walks.

Women’s Track and Field

Athing Mue CONTINUES to blow Aggie Track and Field fans away with her performances this year. Saturday February 6th Mu broke the U-20 World Record in the 400M at the Charlie Thomas Invitational. Mu clocked 50.52, breaking Sanya Richards-Ross World U-20 400m record of 50.82.
