BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Riley Valentine, one of the top high school prospects out of Arizona, signed with the Texas A&M softball program, head coach Trisha Ford announced Friday.

"We are excited to be adding Riley to our roster this fall," Ford said. "She brings an unparalleled work ethic, and she will make an immediate impact in our program."

A native of Phoenix, Valentine was a four-time all-conference and all-region performer out of Sandra Day O'Connor High School. As a freshman, she helped her team upset top-seeded Pinnacle High School for the school's second state championship title. As a junior in 2021, she belted a 6A division-high 12 home runs and finished the year with a .426 batting average and 39 RBI. In her final season at Sandra Day O'Connor, Valentine recorded career numbers in batting average (.450), home runs (14) and RBI (49).

Valentine played club softball in the Arizona Storm organization and was recognized as a 2022 Premier Girls Fastpitch All-American. She was ranked as the No. 26 overall prospect and No. 10 catcher in Extra Inning's 2022 Extra Elite Top 100.
