How do you like playing for Coach Joni Taylor?

“It’s a blessing, every day. She’s one of the best people to be apart of. As team, as a coach, if you ask everybody on the team ‘why they’re here’ — they’ll say ‘coaches and staff’. Joni [Taylor] is just a great mother figure — she’s a great person, just in general. Somebody you want to be around every day. I feel like you can learn something from her at all times. She’s just amazing — it’s hard to explain and to put in words, but if you know, you know.”

How does Coach Taylor get the best out of you?

“She challenges me every day. My expectations are so high, even as a freshman, she puts me on the spot, if I mess up or if it’s wrong — she’s gonna let me know and let everybody know in front of me. Just so she knows that everybody [else] knows that I need to fix it and get better. But we watch film together anytime there’s a chance to watch film. Me and Joni [Taylor] watch film just to make sure that I’m getting better. But she’s very dedicated in me and making sure that I’m being the best player I can be.”
