TOP STORY: Ramos contract talks with PSG hit a snag
Negotiations between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos have hit a stumbling block, according to Le10 Sport.
Ramos is set to leave Madrid when his contract expires at the end of June and the French outlet claims that the PSG hierarchy have only offered only a one-year deal to bring him to the Parc des Princes.
The centre-back had looked certain to be headed for Ligue 1, but it seems a move could be on thin ice as PSG sporting director Leonardo is unprepared to offer the two-year deal he wants.
The former Los Blancos captain turned 35 in March and featured in just 15 La Liga games due to a number of injury concerns. He was also left out of Spain's squad for Euro 2020.
Ramos is assessing approaches he has received from PSG, Manchester City and Bayern Munich before taking a decision on his future, multiple sources have told ESPN. He has also been previously linked with moves to Manchester United and Manchester City, with City reportedly proposing a deal that would also include him playing at New York City FC. El Chiringuito also reports that Chelsea have made him an offer.

22.04 BST: Now that Man United look to have landed Jadon Sancho, is Kieran Trippier next?
With the BBC's John Murtough saying that United are unwilling to raise their bid to €20 million for the England right-back, the club may be forced to explore other options. TEAMtalk proposes that one potential -- and cheaper -- alternative could be Rangers' James Tavernier.
The 29-year-old is fresh off captaining Steven Gerrard's Rangers to their first Scottish title in 10 years, racking up an amazing 19 goals (10 penalties) and 16 assists from right-back! The ex-Newcastle and Wigan man only signed a new contract with Gers in April but that hasn't quelled the interest from big clubs.
Rangers are said to be looking to cut into their debt, with Tavernier, who has also been linked with Arsenal, Norwich and Brighton, a player that club could elect to cash in on.
21.22 BST: Arsenal could foil North London rivals Tottenham's move for AC Milan central midfielder Franck Kessie, Tuttosport claims.

The player's agent Massimo Brambati does not seem happy with Milan and has even confirmed Tottenham's interest in his client.
"Now Kessie is the one who holds the knife by the handle. He can decide what is best for him rather than the club.
"I know that in addition to Inter [Milan] there are two Premier League teams interested in him, including Tottenham."
Gazzetta dello Sport, though, reports that Arsenal are the most interested Premier League club in Kessie, and that Arsenal are willing to offer him €6 milion-per-year to replace Granit Xhaka, who is widely expected to join Roma.
20.36 BST: Tottenham have named ex-Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo their new manager.

The Portuguese boss joins Spurs following four years at Molineux in which he guided the Wolverhampton club from the Championship to the Premier League and then into Europe. Nuno, who was let go by Wolves after the season, amassed a record of 96 wins, 57 losses, and 46 draws with Wolves, notably leading them all the way to the quarterfinals of the Europa League in 2019-20.
Prior to taking over Wolves in 2017, Nuno, 47, held managerial posts at Rio Ave, Valencia and Porto.
The announcement ends a disastrous and drawn-out hiring process for the London club, who previously saw deals with Antonio Conte, Paulo Fonseca, and Gennaro Gattuso collapse.
19.55 BST: It's finally happening! Man United are at last set to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, sources have told ESPN.
The Red Devils will reportedly pay £72.9 million ($101m) for the 21-year-old, ending an 18-month transfer saga. Sancho, pending a medical, will join United through at least 2026, while United are not expected to announce the deal until after Sancho's involvement with England at Euro 2020 is complete.
A Man City academy graduate, Sancho has racked up 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 games for Dortmund's first team since arriving in 2017, and has been named to the Bundesliga Team of the Season each of the past two years.
19.08 BST: With Tottenham expected to hire ex-Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo, Aston Villa are reportedly monitoring the status of Spurs defensive midfielder Harry Winks.
Dean Smith and Co. have shown ambition this season signing Emi Buendia from Norwich City, and bringing Scudetto champions Ashley Young back to the club, and reportedly are far from done. The club have also had two bids rejected by Arsenal for Emile Smith Rowe, and also reportedly are watching, James Ward-Prowse, Dwight McNeil and Todd Cantwell.
The Telegraph now suggests that the club are keeping tabs on Winks as well. Spurs are reportedly open to selling the 25-year-old, with Man United, Leeds, and Southampton also tracking the 10-capped England man.
Winks made just nine Premier League starts last season under Jose Mourinho and Ryan Mason, and currently is behind the likes of Emile Hojbjerg, Tanguy Ndombele, and Moussa Sissoko in the Spurs pecking order.
18.29 BST: Valencia have their eyes on Barcelona striker Martin Braithwaite, Marca claims.
The Denmark international, 30, could leave Camp Nou following the arrival of forwards Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay this summer. The move would seem to suit both parties, as Barca, who are €1 billion in debt, need to sell excess players, while Valencia could use some extra attacking help.
New Valencia manager Jose Bordalas is also said to be a big fan of Braithwaite, having reportedly tried to sign the Dane for Getafe in 2020. Braithwaite, who has scored eight goals in 53 games for Barca, is valued at €9 million and has previously played at Esbjerg, Toulouse, Middlesbrough, Bordeaux, and Leganes.
17.37 BST: Sheffield United have been given hope in signing a Euro 2020 star.
The Star has learned that Joe Allen could be allowed to leave Stoke, with the club looking to re-structure its finances ahead of next season. The former Liverpool midfielder, 31, has been at Stoke since 2016 and recently participated at Euro 2020 with Wales.
With Sheffield looking to bolster their midfield ranks, 'The Welsh Pirlo' would represent a capable replacement for highly-rated midfielder Sander Berge, who is expected to leave the club now that they have dropped down to the Championship.
Stoke manager Michael O'Neill reportedly wants to hold on to Allen, but the club's brass may force his hands as they try to get the club's finances in order.

16.03 BST: Fabrizio Romano reports that Benfica left-back Nuno Tavares' move to Arsenal will be announced soon.
Tavares, 21, will move to the club for €8m plus add-ons as a backup for Kieran Tierney.
Apparently, interest in the Portuguese came when Benfica were talking to the Gunners over a move for midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, who has since decided he wants to move to Marseille.
Arsenal need to strengthen cover in the left-back position with Sead Kolasinac deemed surplus to requirements having returned from a loan at Schalke and midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who has previously deputised as a left wing-back, also likely to leave the club.
15.15 BST: Rafael Benitez has taken over as manager of Everton.
The former Liverpool and Real Madrid coach succeeds Carlo Ancelotti, who has moved back to Real Madrid.
Benitez, who has been out of work since leaving Chinese team Dalian Professional in January, is a controversial choice as manager at Goodison Park after describing Everton as a "small club" during his six-year spell in charge of Liverpool between 2004 and 2010.
The Spaniard has since claimed that his remarks were misinterpreted and sources said that the 61-year-old has the support of Everton owner Farhad Moshiri. Benitez was keen take on the role to return to the Premier League, having left English football for China following his departure from Newcastle United in 2019.
Merseyside Police said on Monday they are investigating a threatening banner hung near Benitez's family home on the Wirral, as media speculation intensified over his appointment as Everton boss earlier this week.

15.11 BST: As reported by ESPN in April, Barcelona are making another free transfer signing.
This time it's to bring talented 18-year-old Kays Ruiz-Atil back to the club from PSG once his contract expires. The midfielder left Barcelona for Paris in 2016 but is now heading back to Camp Nou.
Barca are losing centre-back Jose Marsa to Sporting CP for free though. The Barca B star will sign a contract until 2024 after failing to make the breakthrough into the first XI.
14.48 BST: Atalanta defender Joakim Maehle has caught the eye of Chelsea, according to Tutto Atalanta.
Maehle, 24, has impressed for Denmark at Euro 2020 and the full-back could be a much cheaper alternative than Inter Milan's Achraf Hakimi, who is set to snub the Blues for a €70m move to PSG.
14.11 BST: Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka looks set to leave the club this summer, with Roma in talks over a move.
But Calciomercato claims that Juventus are entering the running and are ready to offer the €20m transfer fee which Arsenal want, while Roma are only willing to pay €15m.
However, Juve will only go for Xhaka if they aren't able to sign Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli, who is their first choice.

Gab Marcotti feels Inter Milan have lost out on a valuable player in Achraf Hakimi by letting him leave to PSG.
13.00 BST: Sky Sports reports that Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour is set to join Norwich on loan.
Gilmour, 20, made 11 appearances for the Blues last season, five in the Premier League, but isn't in the immediate plans of manager Thomas Tuchel.
The Scotland midfielder tested positive for COVID-19 at Euro 2020 and is in the middle of a 10-day isolation period. He will reportedly finalise his move and do his medical once that is completed.
12.19 BST: Manchester United are interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka, says Bild.
Goretzka, 26, is out of contract next summer and United are keen to bring him in to replace Paul Pogba, who could move to Juventus or Real Madrid.
Sport1 claims that Goretzka wants to stay at Bayern and renew his contract, though Barcelona and Real Madrid have also shown interest in the Germany international alongside "other clubs from England."
12.01 BST: Barcelona remain confident of agreeing a new contract with Lionel Messi, sources have told ESPN.
Messi's deal expires on Wednesday and he is yet to sign a renewal to extend his 20-year stay at Camp Nou. However, a loose agreement is in place and Barca are pressing ahead with tying up the final details with the aim of announcing it as soon as possible.
Sources have told ESPN that Barca are in the process of squaring the numbers with La Liga and the tax office to ensure there are no problems moving forward.
La Liga president Javier Tebas has warned the club they may not be able to register Messi's new deal if they don't make cutbacks elsewhere.
Prior to the pandemic, Barca had the league's highest wage bill at over €600 million per season. However, that has since been cut to just over €300m.
Messi's last contract with the club, signed in 2017, was worth over €500m over four years, including his salary, bonuses and image rights.
Barca, whose gross debt is over €1 billion, cannot afford to pay Messi as much this time around and have had to be creative with their contract offer.
11.02 BST: Leicester City have completed the signing of striker Patson Daka from FC Salzburg for around €25m.
Daka, 22, scored 34 goals in 42 games last season and the Zambia international has signed a contract until 2026.
10.38 BST: Bild reports that any club wishing to sign winger Kingsley Coman will have to pay a transfer fee of €90m.
Coman, 25, is seeking a new challenge if he can't agree new terms on a contract and has been linked with Liverpool, Man United and a host of other top clubs in Europe.
The France international's deal expires in 2023 so he's aware he may need to wait until next year to get his move.
10.15 BST: Reminder that Barcelona's Lionel Messi becomes a free agent at midnight tonight.
Herculez Gomez is concerned that Rodolfo Pizarro will struggle to find a club in MLS or Liga MX that will take him.
09.47 BST: Boca Juniors vice-president Juan Roman Riquelme has confirmed that the Argentine club will make a new attempt to sign Edinson Cavani next season after the Manchester United striker recently turn them down to stay at Old Trafford for at least one more season.
"We dreamed of having Cavani but he renewed with Manchester United," Riquelme told ESPN show Futbol90. "We will try again next year. I told Edinson that it is understandable and that the only thing we can offer him is a full La Bombonera but now we don't even have that (due to the COVID-19 restrictions.)"
Riquelme admitted that Boca are struggling to sign other players too due to their financial issues, but he is still confident that some new arrivals will come before the start of the season.
09.25 BST: Marseille are in advanced talks with Santos to complete the signing of defender Luan Peres, according to ESPN Brasil.
Jorge Sampaoli managed the 26-year-old during his time in Brazil and is now likely to reunite with him in Ligue 1.
ESPN Brasil says that the two clubs have already sorted the paperwork, with Marseille ready to pay around €4.5m for 70% of the player's rights. The remaining 30% still belongs to Belgian side Club Brugge, where Peres was playing before moving on loan to Santos in 2018 before the Brazilian side signed him on permanent basis in February.
09.02 BST: ICYMI - Marseille have completed the signing of United States winger Konrad De La Fuente from Barcelona for €3m, the French club has announced.
De la Fuente, 19, has agreed a four-year deal with Marseille, who are owned by American businessman Frank McCourt, the former owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Barca will be due 50% of any future transfer fee, sources have told ESPN. The Catalan club had hoped to add a clause to re-sign De La Fuente within a certain timeframe but regulations in French football did not allow one to be included.
08.46 BST: Atletico MG have exercised the option to sign Guilherme Arana on permanent basis from Sevilla following his impressive loan spell at the club.
Arana 24, joined Sevilla in December 2017 after earning comparisons in style with Real Madrid star Marcelo while playing at Athletico Paranaense. However, the Brazilian left-back failed to make the impact expected both in La Liga and was sent on loan to Atalanta, where he also flopped.
However, Sevilla sent him on loan to Atletico MG in January 2020 and Arana recovered his best form; he could even be included in Andre Jardine's squad for the coming Olympics. Atletico MG have now handed him a contract until December 2024.
08.30 BST: Arsenal are in talks to sign Benfica left-back Nuno Tavares, sources have told ESPN's James Olley.
The 21-year-old is viewed as a back-up option for Kieran Tierney, who agreed a new five-year contract with the club last week.
Benfica value Tavares at around €12m but Arsenal are confident of doing a deal for less with the player keen on a move to the Premier League.
Negotiations are continuing for Tavares, who made 24 appearances for Benfica last season including a five-minute substitute outing against Arsenal in the second leg of their Europa League round-of-32 tie in February.
Tavares is viewed as an attack-minded full-back who can make a positive impact in the final third in a similar mould to two other left-backs that the club looked at signing in January: Ryan Bertrand and Patrick van Aanholt.
Both Bertrand and Van Aanholt will become free agents next week when their contracts expire at Southampton and Crystal Palace respectively.

- Aston Villa are hopeful of retaining attacking midfielder Jack Grealish with Manchester City set to offer them £100m to sign him. The Telegraph reports that the club are ready to offer the England star a new contract worth £150,000-a-week to remain at Villa Park and put an end to the transfer speculation. Grealish was involved in both goals on Tuesday as England beat Germany 2-0 at Wembley to reach the quarterfinals at Euro 2020.
- Franco Vazquez has returned to Italy and agreed a deal with Parma on a free transfer, reports Fabrizio Romano. The 32-year-old midfielder previously featured for Palermo before signing for Sevilla FC in 2016, but was mainly used as a substitute last season, appearing 18 times from the bench.
- Atalanta and Udinese have agreed a deal for Juan Musso, according Gianluca Di Marzio. The goalkeeper is set to join Atalanta for a fee worth €20m and will challenge to be the club's top goalkeeper in the Champions League next season. The 27-year-old adds experience to Atalanta's squad, having featured in 35 Serie A games for Udinese last season.
- Liverpool youngster Liam Millar could be set for a move to Switzerland with FC Basel offering £1.5m to sign him, writes Football Insider. The Swiss Super League club are reportedly keen on the forward who spent last season on loan in League One with Charlton Athletic. The 21-year-old has been capped 11 times by Canada.
- Barcelona's Samuel Umtiti would not be interested in a return to Ligue 1, according to L'Equipe. The 27-year-old defender has been the subject of interest from Marseille, but it is believed that Umtiti has sounded out approaches from the club. Barca are reportedly keen on moving Umtiti on as the club rebuilds after finishing third in La Liga last season.
- Uncertainty over Jason Denayer's contract is continuing, with Le10 Sport reporting that the Lyon defender is keen to play Champions League football next season. The player's agent has quoted Napoli and AS Roma as two clubs interested in landing the centre-back's services, although neither club are in the Champions League next year. A move may not be finalised until after Euro 2020, with Denayer currently preparing for the quarterfinals with Belgium.
- PSG have made Pablo Sarabia available for transfer after the midfielder's strong performances for Spain during Euro 2020. AS reports that Atletico Madrid are interested in securing a deal for the 29-year-old, who joined Les Parisiens from Sevilla in 2019. The attacker featured 27 times in Ligue 1 last season, scoring six and assisting four goals.
